HOME
This is the place I like to call home. These are the row homes is that I live in on the Southside of Allentown. But for the past couple of months home has been a different place for me being that I now stay on campus at Northampton community college. After the semester is over here is where I will reside for the summer until the next semester approaches. Here in this home I live with my father, step mother, my two nephews, cousin, and my little sister. Most people would wonder how so many people could live in a small row home, but these houses are actually a lot bigger than they appear in the picture above. My home actually has about six bedrooms and two bathrooms. In this home I have created many memories that will live on with me for the rest of my life, being that I have been living there for the last 9 years of my life.

Education

My educational journey began at rainbow elementary school in Coatesville, PA where i began learning to read, write and all of the other basic things that elementary school kids learn. After i graduated from Rainbow i moved on to South Brandywine middle school where learning began to get a bit more challenging for me. At this point in my life i was very lazy and uninterested with school and as a result of that i failed the 6th grade.

After failing the 6th grade i moved to Allentown, PA to live with my father to have a new start and get refocused on school. When i moved in with my father i was enrolled into South Mountain Middle School where i got a fresh start and repeated the 6th grade. Going through middle school in a completely new city turned out to be a great decision for me, seeing that i was getting involved by joining the schools basketball team and keeping my grades high.

Basketball is a big part of my education today because it motivated me to keep my grades up so that i could continue to be a part of the different basketball programs that i was involved with at the time. Basketball became such a big part of my life that it was kind how i was identified by others, which was something that i loved and didn't want to lose so i made sure i kept my head in the books. As a result i graduated onto William Allen High School where i excelled in education and in one of the main things that kept me motivated and focused which is basketball. I graduated from William Allen with the class of 2015 and i am now continuing my education at Northampton Community College where i hope to get my Associates Degree in the field of Business Administration.

Melissa Oliver

Melissa Oliver is an hardworking African American women who is also Scottish and German and comes from a very large family. Melissa is a part-time student at Northampton Community College majoring in the field of Business Management, she has come back to school this past summer after taking a small break and has only six more classes to take until graduation, while also maintaining a full-time job as a Lowe's Kitchen Designer where she has worked for the last 10 years.

Melissa is a loving mother of three boys ages 15, 17, and 25, She is also a sibling to four older brothers. She is a native of Bethlehem, PA who really enjoys listening to music of the early 70's with artist such as R&B soul group Earth, Wind, and Fire and her favorite artist Jeffrey Osborne who is the lead singer of the band LTD. Melissa likes to express her love for music by attending small concerts with the one she loves her husband of 26 years. The two like to attend small concert events at places such as B.B. Kings Blues house and the Berks Jazz Fest in which they attend annually. Reading books, magazines, baking, and going to school are some other things that Melissa enjoys doing with her free time.

Melissa likes to take family trips to New York city to visit the different types of museums, and occasionally catch a show or two. With each trip that she makes to N.Y no matter where she is going in the city she is sure to take a detour drive through Times Square to enjoy the bright lights and atmosphere. Melissa plans to one day retire and sell her home in the near future and she hopes to fulfill her dreams of buying a nice beach house.
